Mango is also moving to Hamburg’s Überseequartier

The Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier will not open until next year, but the tenant portfolio of the shopping center in Hafencity is already taking on more and more concrete shape. The latest addition is the Spanish clothing retailer Mango. The company will open a store in Überseequartier in autumn 2023, the investor and operator Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) announced on Thursday. Well-known companies such as Breuninger, Zara and JD Sports had already been presented as future tenants.

According to URW, Mango will use a total area of 600 square meters on two floors and offer its range of women’s fashion there after the opening. The new shopfitting concept “New Med”, which Mango has already implemented in a number of European flagship stores, is to be used for the first time in Hamburg.

Anna Laura Riemann, who works as portfolio leasing manager at URW, welcomed the new lease: “With Mango, we have gained another important partner for the fashion and lifestyle segment, who is moving into a large, representative retail space on a highly frequented axis in the quarter will,” she said in a statement. “This will further differentiate the mix of flagship stores in Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier. We are very pleased to have Mango on board and to further strengthen our strategic partnership with the future store in Hamburg.”
