The Spanish clothing retailer Mango grew strongly in the 2022 financial year. The company announced on Thursday that sales were higher than ever before in the company’s history.

According to this, revenues last year reached 2.69 billion euros, which corresponded to an increase of 20.3 percent compared to 2021. According to the company, the previous sales record from 2019 was exceeded by 13.2 percent.

Among other things, the clothing supplier benefited from the fact that the branches were open again continuously in 2022, after repeated restrictions in the previous years as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic. The company also continued on its course of expansion. Over the course of the year, the number of stores grew by 119. At the end of December, Mango had a total of 2,566 locations.

Despite one-off charges resulting from the suspension of business in Russia after the start of the war of aggression against Ukraine, Mango was also able to increase its earnings significantly. Reported net profit reached EUR 81.1 million and was thus 20.9 percent above the level of the previous year.
