RB Leipzig loses Benjamin Sesko to Manchester United and collected properly, as the clubs announced.

Both clubs announced the transfer of the Slovenian striker to the Red Devils in the Premier League. Sesko receives a long -term contract in Manchester until 2030.

Sesko is the second tax sale of RB. The attacker, which came from RB Salzburg to Leipzig in 2023 for around 24 million euros, is only exceeded by Josko Gvardiol. The Croatian defender was released from Leipzig in 2023 by Manchester City for a rumored 91.5 million euros.

Bidder competition drives up price

The long-established sesko exit was nevertheless a tough undertaking, because in addition to Manchester United, league competitor Newcastle United also vomited around the sample professional. Unlike Manchester, Newcastle will play internationally in the coming season, even in the Champions League.

Sesko still tended to the Red Devils. The betting bid drove up the purchase price – much to the delight of RB, who did not want to let the best attacker of the messed up last season go under 80 million euros anyway.

Sesko, which many compare with striker Erling Haaland, scored 27 times in his 64 Bundesliga games and did the preparatory work for seven goals. In the Champions League and in the DFB Cup, he was successful for RB six times.
