A club apparently no longer interferes in the transfer poker around Florian Wirtz. The cost of the Leverkusen star should be too high. Is Bavaria’s chances rise?
Manchester City apparently withdrawn as an interested party in the advertising around Bavarian Leverkusen’s exceptional player Florian Wirtz. According to reports from BBC, ESPN and the British tabloid “The Sun”, the top English club of coach Pep Guardiola shouts back from the high total costs of a possible transfer and therefore distances itself from a commitment of the national player.
It is estimated that the 22-year-old would have risen to the most expensive transfer in Manchester City’s history-with a total volume of up to 300 million euros including a transfer and salary. Wirtz was most recently traded at Manchester City as a possible successor to Kevin de Bruyne.
The German champion FC Bayern Munich and the English Champion FC Liverpool are also interested in an obligation of the offensive player. The Bayer Group is said to have gave the green light for selling Wirtz, which still has a contract in Leverkusen until 2027. A prerequisite, however, is apparently that an association pays 150 million euros for the midfielder.
Wirtz has been playing in Leverkusen since 2020. Last year he won the double of the championship and DFB Cup with the “Werkelf”. This season he finished second with the team in the Bundesliga. Wirtz contributed a total of 23 scorer points in 31 missions (10 goals, 13 templates)
