Managing director Schielmann leaves Pierre Cardin

Karl-Friedrich Schielmann, Managing Director of Ahlers PC GmbH, is leaving the Herford-based clothing group.

Since January 2014 he has managed the Pierre Cardin brand at Ahlers AG, which is the licensee of the French fashion house. His duties will be temporarily taken over by Lür Holler, Managing Director International Sales and Operations, and Nico de Roy, Brand Manager Pierre Cardin, Ahlers announced on Monday.

Ahlers boss: A successor has already been committed

However, a successor has already been determined: “We would like to thank Mr. Schielmann for the good cooperation and his great commitment to Pierre Cardin. We wish him all the best for the future, both professionally and privately,” said Ahlers CEO Stella Ahlers. “A successor to Mr. Schielmann has already been signed. We will announce the name and the starting date in the next few weeks”.

Schielmann joined Pierre Cardin from Brax, taking over for Hermann Doerbecker, who retired at the age of 74. At Brax he has been a product manager for men’s trousers since 2006 and later became part of the extended management team. Before that, he worked for several years as an account manager for the Herford-based clothing manufacturer, which belongs to Leineweber GmbH & Co. KG. At Pierre Cardin, he will continue to drive expansion in Germany and Europe.
