Man who bites off a piece of a police officer’s pinky has been arrested
The police wanted to check a driver at the Schouwburgplein in Kortrijk on Saturday, but the man refused any cooperation. The police eventually had to set up a roadblock with several combis to trap the man’s car.
But the driver drove into the (empty) vehicles and also rammed the facade of a building. The man – no stranger to the police – could eventually be overpowered. But even then he was very aggressive and even bit off a piece of one of the officers’ pinky finger. One officer was seriously injured and another officer slightly injured.
