A pedestrian was seriously injured on Friday afternoon after being hit on the Jan van Cuykdijk in Escharen. The man walked his dog and crossed the street after which he was hit by a car.
An ambulance took the man to the Radboud Hospital in Nijmegen. The ambulance stopped in a parking lot because a trauma helicopter had dropped off a doctor there. This doctor rode with the man in the ambulance to the hospital.
dog is missing
A total of two ambulances arrived on the scene, as did a police car.
The victim’s dog is still missing, it is not clear whether the animal was injured.
