Someone was injured this morning in a stabbing incident in a house on Talmastraat in Assen. The police are using a helicopter to search for the perpetrator.
Around half past ten, the police, several ambulances and a trauma helicopter were called to rush to a house on Talmastraat. It is not yet clear what happened here. One person suffered leg injuries in the incident and was taken to hospital by ambulance. The trauma helicopter was able to return to Eelde airfield.
The perpetrator fled to Stadhouderslaan after the incident. The police have issued a call via Burgernet to look out for the suspect. It concerns a confused man between 25 and 40 years old who is in possession of a knife. He has a tinted appearance, is bald and wears a blue coat. People are urged not to approach the suspect themselves, but to call 112.
