A man destroyed the front door of the police station on Vogelstraat in Den Bosch on Friday night. The man is known to the police.
The man had been keeping officers busy all day, police report BD. He had been released after a criminal offence, but did not want to leave. He also came back to the station in the evening.
Around eleven o’clock he started banging on the front door. When officers approached him, the man had already destroyed the entire front door. An emergency door has now been installed through which visitors can enter.
The police say in the newspaper that it is not clear why the man behaved this way. A spokesperson suspects that he wanted to sit inside.
