A man shot dead five people in the far north of France on Saturday. The victims include at least two migrants and two security guards. The local authorities have announced this.
Just after 3 p.m., a man died from a bullet wound on the public road of Wormhout, a municipality less than ten kilometers from the Belgian border. The victim is said to be the boss of a local transport company. This is what the regional newspaper writes La Voix Du Nord.
More than an hour later, two shootings took place in Loon-Plage, a municipality near the coastal city of Dunkirk. Two migrants were killed near a refugee camp. They are said to be of Kurdish descent. Afterwards, two security guards patrolling the port area were also killed.
The suspected perpetrator is said to be a 22-year-old Frenchman, the newspaper reports Le Parisien. He reported himself to the police of Ghyvelde, a municipality right on the border with Belgium. Nothing has been revealed about his motive.
