At the end of October, a 22-year-old man was so severely abused at the station in Deurne that he lost consciousness, among other things. This happened on the night of October 26 to 27, it was announced on Monday. The police are looking for the suspect.
The police have distributed photos of the man who allegedly assaulted the victim. This suspect was part of a group of approximately five young people. They were on the train to Deurne, coming from Eindhoven.
The victim and the man had gotten into an argument on the train. Outside the train, at the station in Deurne, the argument escalated. The victim was so badly beaten that he lost consciousness. The blows fractured his left eye socket and tore his upper lip in half. He was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
The police hope to identify the suspect by publishing the photos.
