Man in jail after stabbing in Zwevezele

Residents of the Kastanjelaan in Zwevezele heard two men arguing with each other on Saturday night. One stabbed the other. The victim, who only suffered minor injuries, and the suspect were friends. The 45-year-old man is in jail.

Both are no strangers to the court. It is not yet known what the two were arguing about.

Caught in the act

That night there were also two burglaries on the Hille, a hamlet between Zwevezele and the main municipality of Wingene. The police caught the burglar in the act.

A 24-year-old Albanian has been arrested by the investigating judge. The man has no legal address in Belgium.
