A man (69) from Eindhoven died on Saturday evening in an accident on the Ringweg in Best. The police suspect that the man has become unwell behind the wheel and then collided head -on with an oncoming car. Many emergency services pulled out, including a trauma helicopter.
Emergency services have tried to resuscitate the man, but that was no longer to help.
The driver of the other car could get out of the car himself, but was taken to the hospital. He had a broken nose.
A total of three ambulances arrived, the fire brigade and police also offered help. The ring road in Best will be closed to traffic for the time being. The police are conducting further investigation there.
