A 62-year-old man died in an accident at a company on De Tweeling in Den Bosch on Monday evening. The victim from Waalwijk ended up under a heavy pallet and died on the spot.
The accident happened around seven o’clock in the evening at the De Brand industrial estate near Amacom. This is a distribution company in consumer electronics and small household appliances. According to the police, the victim became trapped under a pallet weighing several hundred kilos.
Several ambulances, the fire brigade and also the trauma helicopter turned out for the accident. The emergency services managed to get the man out from under the pallet, but he turned out to be deceased.
The Labor Inspectorate is investigating the cause of the industrial accident.
