A 43-year-old man was arrested in Klundert on Friday evening after he had threatened with a firearm. For a moment it seemed to be tense and officers drew their guns to arrest the man. It turned out to be a false alarm, the man had a pellet gun with him.
Bystanders had seen that there was a disagreement at the Zevenbergsepoort in Klundert. Someone would have seen a weapon there.
The man with the alleged weapon hid in a shed. To get the man out, officers drew their guns. He eventually came out without a weapon and was arrested. The weapon turned out to be a pellet gun, also known as a airsoftweapon.
The man has no fixed abode and is being held for investigation. He is suspected of threat and public violence.
