This afternoon the police arrested someone who tried to rob a supermarket on the Van Heutszsingel in Coevorden. Although the robbery failed, the suspect was arrested outside the supermarket.
According to a police spokesperson, the man tried to get money at both the service counter and a cash register, but without success. He used no violence.
Police have not yet released any further details about the man’s identity.
