Man arrested for trying to reach Queen Elizabeth’s coffin

A man tried to reach Queen Elizabeth’s coffin at Westminster Hall in London on Friday night. An eyewitness told Sky News that the man ran from the queue to the coffin, but was quickly lowered to the ground by police. He would have been arrested and imprisoned.

A spokesman for the British Parliament confirms to Sky News that someone from the audience stepped out of the queue and moved to the platform where the coffin rests. “This person has been removed from the hall and the queue has restarted with minimal disruption.”

Thousands of people line up in the British capital to say goodbye to the recently deceased Elizabeth. The waiting time has risen to at least 10 p.m. Friday evening.
