Máxima tries to attract dolphins with special sounds
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima took a boat trip on the Suriname River and the Commewijne River on Wednesday. The royal couple thus started the third and final day of the state visit to Suriname. In the morning, the royal couple were greeted by the presidential couple, after which the group boarded the salon boat Mi Gudu. During the cruise, the king and queen received explanations about, among other things, the economic significance of the rivers and mangroves. After the boat trip, which lasted just over an hour, the couple arrived in Johanna Margaretha for talks with local residents. Later in the day, the royal couple will visit Plantation Frederiksdorp, a former coffee and cocoa plantation.
