Man (54) remains in jail on suspicion of murdering his son-in-law (28)
The lawyer had asked for his client to be placed under electronic supervision, but the courtroom extended his detention.
On Sunday evening, a 28-year-old motorcyclist from Koekelare was shot dead on the IJzerdijk in Stuivekenskerke near Diksmuide. Shortly before the facts, the victim had an argument with his father-in-law, which is why he is suspect number 1. But the man denies, saying that his son-in-law had many enemies. His lawyer has requested additional investigation from a weapons expert. The police and the judiciary are also asking possible witnesses to come forward.
