A 51-year-old man from Zwolle was arrested today. He is suspected of involvement in the fatal shooting on Vondelkade in Zwolle in February this year. The suspect is in complete restraints.

A 34-year-old man from Zwolle was shot on Sunday evening, February 22, and died on the spot. That happened on the Vondelkade, near the De Passiebloem mill. Two men then fled on a dark scooter.
The police are reluctant to share further information about the suspect. “The investigation continues and more arrests cannot be ruled out.”
The arrest comes a week after police announced that the firearm used was found in the water. Flyers were distributed at various places in Zwolle to get in touch with residents who may have information.
It was also included in the investigation program Crime scene attention was paid to the case and three specific witnesses were sought. The police: ‘Following all the attention, several tips were received about the wanted scooter that the shooters were riding on, and the names of possible people involved were also mentioned.’
“We cannot report more than this message at the moment,” says police spokesman Henk Kremer.
Despite the arrest, the police investigation continues. The investigation team would still like to get in touch with three witnesses who may have seen the suspects on the evening in question.
