After a 35-year-old man allegedly threatened his neighbors in Berlin-Hellersdorf with a gun, the special task force came to search the apartment the next day.
The officials confiscated several pistols and a machete there on Saturday, a police spokesman said in the afternoon.
The suspect was arrested and temporarily taken to a detention center.
According to initial information from the police, the incident is said to have occurred on Friday evening in an apartment building.
It is now being investigated for violating the weapons law and threats.
