Mammut: Restructuring of the management

Swiss outerwear brand Mammut has restructured its management board and appointed a new Chief Financial Officer and Chief Commercial Officer.

Wilhelm Matheson will assume the role of chief financial officer, Mammut announced in January. He takes over in May for the ad-interim CFO Martin Dörig. Matheson comes from Helly Hansen, where he was Chief Financial Officer for ten years.

“My wife is Swiss and I studied here. Most importantly, I’m a passionate mountaineer,” said Matheson. “Working for an iconic brand like Mammut – considering the long history and the great potential – feels like coming home to me.”

Chief Commercial Officer Oliver Arndt leaves

There will also be a change in the role of Chief Commercial Officer. Oliver Arndt, who previously held this position, will leave the company. The realignment of the commercial area has been completed, which is why the Mammut management and Arndt “jointly decided” to go their separate ways, according to the outerwear specialist.

“Oliver has managed to transform the Commercial division together with a strong team and achieved significant successes,” said Greg Nieuwenhuys, Executive Chairman of Mammut. “I am grateful to Oliver for his commitment to the Mammut brand and wish him the best for the future.”

Simen takes over Mordre ad interim CCO for Arndt. Mordre was previously Head of Market EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) at Mammut.
