The Swiss outdoor equipment Mammut replenish a key post. On Wednesday, the company announced the appointment of Jérémie Blondel as Chief Commercial Officer. He will take over the position on June 1st.
Blondel follows Felix Münnich, who, according to Mammut, “resigned for personal reasons after playing a crucial role in promoting the commercial success of the company in recent years”.
Blondel changes from The North Face to Mammut
The designated newcomer comes from the US group VF Corporation The North Face, in which he most recently worked as a VP of Sales in the EMEA region. Before that, he had already worked for well-known labels such as Vans, Reebok, Five Ten and Nike in the course of his more than 20 years of career in the outdoor and sports industry.
His great experience as well as “his strategic vision and its pronounced commercial expertise” made blonde “the ideal leader to lead mammoths commercial activities and trading partnerships into a new era of growth and success,” said the company.
“We are very happy to welcome Jérémie to the Mammut team,” said CEO Heiko Schäfer in a statement. “His proven track record and deep understanding of industry will be invaluable, while we continue to strengthen our market position and pursue new growth opportunities.”
