Luis García Plaza will stop being coach of Mallorca, as the ‘Cadena Ser’ advanced yesterday. The six consecutive defeats that the team has chained in the League have been the trigger for his dismissal.
The club makes this decision to try to give a new impetus to a downcast group of players who is in relegation places, one point from salvation and with nine games still to go to try to redirect the course under the orders of a new coach.
The chosen one, apparently, could be an old acquaintance of LaLiga as Javier Aguirrewith whom the first contacts have already been established so that he signs between now and the end of the season plus another optional one if he achieves permanence.
