Travelers who return to our country with a tropical infection have in most cases suffered malaria. This is evident from the evaluation of the summer vacation of the Institute for Tropical Medicine (ITG) in Antwerp. Dengue also continues to score high and due to an outbreak in Réunion there were a striking number of cases of Chikungunya this year, an infectious disease caused by a virus.
