Makwan Amirkhani36, returned to the ring after a bad injury in June.
Amirkhani fought on Saturday in Vantaa at the Ice Cage Fighting 3 event. He got the Swede by Fernando Flores into an anaconda choke and forced him to hit the mat in the third round.
At the same time, Amirkhani broke his losing streak of four matches.
– It’s wonderful to be at home and on the road to victory again. He was a persistent guy. Fortunately, I was well prepared, Amikhani commented on Ice Cage with an interview video published on Instagram.
The Finnish actor arrived in the ring in Vantaa, the musician Sexmanen, or real name Max Senen with. Sexmane performed at the same time as Amirkhani marched to the game seats.
Sexmane was one of the most listened to artists in Finland this year on Spotify. He cheered the Finn’s victory.
– The appreciation for Makwani is absolutely incredible, Sexmane commented in Ice Cage’s video.
After his victory, Amirkhani answered the burning question, i.e. the continuation of his career. There is still enthusiasm.
– I want to take it again soon. The momentum is on, he said.

Finland’s most successful freestyle athlete was in real action last time in June, when the Turkish Attila Korkmaz won by choke.
In addition to the loss, Amikrhani was badly injured. His shoulder was dislocated, the ligament severed and the ring of cartilage detached. The injury took the competitor to the operating table.
Orthopedic surgeon Christer Lybäck, who oversaw Amirkhan’s surgery, estimated in the summer that it would not be worth taking this year. However, the Finn got into the ring and broke his losing streak.
Amirkhani previously fought in the UFC featherweight division, but the road ended in November 2023. Since then, he has been seen, among other things, in matches of the European Octagon promotion.
