The fire broke out around 1:30 am and the emergency services responded in large numbers. According to the safety region, flames spread from the building and a lot of smoke was released, which moved towards the sea. The fire was so bad that extinguishing it was no longer an option.
The fire brigade allowed the fire to burn out in a controlled manner, after which extinguishing was started. In addition to the fire trucks, an ambulance was on site as a preventive measure, this is a standard procedure.
It is not yet clear how the fire could have started.
