Replacement goalkeeper Daniel Batz is retained to 1st FSV Mainz 05. The 34-year-old signed a new working paper by June 30, 2026. Batz had switched from 1st FC Saarbrücken to the zero fifts in the summer of 2023 and, as the deputy of Robin Zentner (30), completed four missions.
“Daniel is both human and sporty an absolute role model. He gives 100 percent in every training session, brings quality and gives us the good feeling that we could also count on him at possible Bundesliga missions. We are happy that he is strengthening us for another year,” said sports director Niko Bungert.
Batz added: “While my first season was an extremely difficult situation for the whole club, we experience an absolute high -altitude flight this year. So we have always hung up, but we have always mastered everything together. The fans here live their club – we saw this especially in the existence of the existence in the last season, but today we experience incredible support.
