Writer and teacher Maijaliisa Dieckmann has died, Eastern Passage news. Dieckmann died on Friday, January 9 of an illness. He was 91 years old when he died.
Dieckmann began his career as a writer at the end of the 1970s. During that time, he wrote more than a hundred works. His most famous works were the children’s books about Merirosvo Svarttikse and Ville Romuse. His other works included, among others The magic of the silver ring, Sky blue and white and The king of fairy tales.

During his career, Dieckmann was awarded the Topelius and Tauno Karilas awards, as well as Arvid Lydecken recognitions.
To Uusimaa according to Diackmann retired from teaching in 1994. After retiring, Dieckmann had time to focus more closely on his writing career.
