Madame Tussauds unveils new “Babylon Berlin” area

Three figures are to move into the new area of ​​the wax museum.

Madame Tussauds is getting a dazzling addition. The new area of ​​the Berlin wax museum “Babylon Berlin” opens on September 28th. Three characters from the German series are depicted realistically: Volker Bruch as Inspector Gereon Rath, Liv Lisa Fries as detective assistant Charlotte Ritter and Meret Becker as film actress Esther Kasabian. The three actors will also be there at the opening and will face their doppelgangers. The area will also feature a functioning bar for even more authenticity.

“Babylon Berlin” has enjoyed enormous success since it was first broadcast in 2017 and has been awarded the German Television Prize several times and the Bambi in 2018. The series tells the story of Inspector Gereon Rath, who is transferred from Cologne to Berlin. He experiences a mixture of dazzling and excessive everyday life and the tragic and dark cases of the Berlin underground scene in the 1920s.

The exhibition at Madame Tussauds opens just in time for the broadcast of the fourth season, because from October 1st you can see “Babylon Berlin” on free TV.
