The US retail group Macy’s Inc. has appointed Tracy Preston as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. The experienced lawyer will take up her new position on January 8th next year and will report directly to Tony Spring, the group’s president and designated CEO, Macy’s announced on Tuesday evening.
In her future role, Preston will assume responsibility for all legal matters and compliance. She will also advise Macy’s management team and board of directors on legal issues, according to a statement.
The legal expert most recently worked at the US textile group Hanesbrands Inc. as Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. Before that, she held various management positions in the legal department of the clothing supplier Levi Strauss & Co., among other things.
