Machines should no longer keep 12-year-old Archie alive: what would happen to such a child in our country?

A British court of appeals today ruled that Archie can be disconnected from the machines that keep him alive. That will happen tomorrow afternoon, against the will of the parents. The 12-year-old boy is brain dead. What would happen to such a child in our country? Can mom and dad decide his fate then? Or is it the physicians who have the last word?
