Attention Mac Demarco fans: This year the Feelgood singer-songwriter releases a new album, releases a limited vinyl collection in favor of the ten-year anniversary of his then relevant EP “Another One” and also takes an extensive tour with some stops in Germany.

From “makeout video tape” to indie icon
Until 2011, the Canadian multi -instrumentalist published five albums in full under the pseudonym “Makeout Video Tape” DIY manner. In Vancouver he tried as a solo artist under his current name and published the EP “Rock and Roll Night Club” (2012) in 2012 and the album “2” under the label captured tracks in the same year.
Demarco published four in his career Further studio albums, an EP and four demo collections. Despite all the successful musicians, this is almost in the same ranks as musical sizes as Prince, which brought out new music almost every year.
Musically, he was most likely to be classified somewhere between cozy 70s retro pop and jazz á la Steely Dan or Wheezer. With the latter, Demarco gave a special impression in the music industry, he turned out to be extremely sensitive songwriter with the eight songs recorded on his own. The EP was completely designed and recorded by Mac in his house in Far Rockaway in Queens. She shows the maturity of Mac’s development as a songwriter, Gordon describes it as a will of Demarco’s musical refining, whose simple elegance is typical for the “Courage and the soul“With which every album is peppered. On the last track of the EP the musician reveals his address and invites the hearts to a coffee in his house on the water – and people really came. What was a big event at the time will be ten years old this year.

New album and tour
In July, the indie slacker announced his sixth album “Guitar”. Fans suspect a return to his more original sound, at least the first songs “Holy” and “Home” sound as melancholy gently and light -footed, like its earlier productions.
