Lyon coach Paulo Fonseca has been blocked for months after his referee declat. The Portuguese had lost control of Brest.
Paulo Fonseca will be missing Olympique Lyon for a long time. Because of a violent word battle with a referee, the disciplinary commission of the French league (LFP) closed the trainer until November 30th. The league announced on Wednesday. By mid -September, the Portuguese must not enter the changing room of its team on match days.
The incident occurred last Sunday in the 2-1 win against Stade Brest. Fonseca had lost control against himself after a red card after a red card and referred to referee Benoit Millot up close. The 52-year-old only took over the club at the end of January and has won three out of five games since then. Lyon is in sixth place in the table.
