LVMH appoints Gonzague de Pirey as Chief Omnichannel & Data Officer

The French luxury goods group Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) has appointed a new person responsible for its digitization projects. On Wednesday, the group announced the appointment of Gonzague de Pirey as Chief Omnichannel & Data Officer. De Pirey will take up his new post on June 1 and will report directly to Toni Belloni, LVMH’s Group Managing Director, the statement said.

In his future role, de Pirey will lead the group’s “next phase of digital transformation” and organize the comprehensive use of data analytics and artificial intelligence in all business areas, the group said. The existing departments in these areas would report directly to him in the future. He will also work closely with those responsible for IT, digital innovations and human resources.

De Pirey joined LVMH in 2019 and since then has held various management positions at the group’s cosmetics chain Sephora. Among other things, he managed the German business and the “New Ventures” division of Sephora. Before that, de Pirey had worked for the French industrial group Saint-Gobain, among others.
