The manager of a luxury Japanese sleeping train has canceled a trip after the discovery that staff members drank excessive alcohol for years. They supposedly did that for quality controls. Local media report that so far six people have been fired. As a result, the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) is struggling with a staff shortage.
