The team bus of the Luxembourg U21 national football team was crashed by players and supervisors on the way to the European Championship qualification game in northwestern France.
As the Luxembourg Association FLF announced on Thursday evening, “five members of the U21 national team were brought to the hospital with injuries, including cuts and bruises”.
According to the FLF, the reason for the accident was “a sudden discomfort” of the bus driver. The association did not provide any further information. “The FLF assures that it will announce all further information as soon as it is available and thanks the public for their understanding and support in this difficult time,” said the message.
The UEFA also contacted the UEFA and applied for a shift in the game. Luxembourg, as an outsider, goes into qualification for the 2027 final round in Albania and Serbia.
