Strong foreign business once again provided the Canadian sportswear provider Lululemon Athletica Inc. with robust growth in the third quarter of the 2024/25 financial year.

Despite a comparatively weak development in America, the company was able to increase its sales by nine percent compared to the previous year and record revenue of 2.4 billion US dollars (around 2.27 billion euros), the Canadian company announced on Thursday. Adjusted for exchange rate changes, sales grew by eight percent.

In America, the company only achieved a sales increase of two percent, while growth in international business was significantly more dynamic. International revenues rose by 33 percent (currency-adjusted +30 percent). Mainland China in particular was a key driver of this success: the growth rate there was 39 percent compared to the previous year (+36 percent adjusted for currency effects).

Lululemon also increased its profits. Operating profit increased from $338.12 million to $490.66 million. The net profit also increased: While it was 248.71 million euros in the third quarter of the 2023/24 financial year, this year it was 351.87 million euros.
