Luka Sammalisto wants to win the F4 championship. Paolo Pellegrino
Luka Sammalisto, 18, has won the Formula 4 class race at the Misano circuit in Italy.
Sammalisto’s performance was downright dominating, as he led the race from start to finish.
The Finn drives in the US Racing team. He was followed by the duo from Prema Racing David Cosma-Cristofor–Alp Aksoy.
The victory was Sammalisto’s first career in the F4 class. Last season he finished second once and third twice.

Sammalisto drives the Italian F4 series and has previously also appeared in the Middle East F4 series. He has said that he is aiming for the championship of the Italian series this season.
The youngster, mentored by Mika Häkkinen, aimed for a place in the upper competition class for this year, but the plans fell through.
Sammalisto had signed a contract with Trident Motorsport for the Middle East and European Formula Regional series, but the contract was terminated at the beginning of the year due to financial reasons.
