Pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk and Luhansk regions are holding referendums on Russia’s accession from September 23 to 27. That’s what Russian state media say. The controversial referendums are a response to the current Ukrainian counter-offensive in the east of the country.
