After the US attack on Venezuela, Lufthansa announced slightly longer flight times to its South American neighbor Colombia.

The largest German airline “does not fly to Venezuela and has not been using Venezuelan airspace for several months,” a company spokesman told the German Press Agency.

“Further airspace areas that are closed at short notice will be flown around by Lufthansa on a large scale.” After the US attack on Venezuela, this led to a slightly longer flight time of around twelve instead of eleven and a half hours on the connection between Frankfurt/Main and the Colombian capital Bogotá. “All other flight connections to South America will operate according to the normal flight schedule.”

On Saturday night, the USA captured President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores in a military attack on Venezuela and took them out of the country. They are to be tried in New York on charges of “drug terrorism,” among other things.
