Ludo Rollenberg has been going to all the Red Devils’ home games for more than 40 years. “I haven’t missed a single one. And in the last 25 years I have missed maybe 2 transfers. That has grown over the years. You also have people who really enjoy going to certain singers. And eventually you develop a bond with that and you get the habit of ‘there is an international match, then I have to be there’.”
Quarter finals must be feasible
Ludo’s suitcases are ready to leave for the Football World Cup. His seventh already. And he has no plans to come home again anytime soon. “I would prefer to stay until the final, but every fan will say that. But if logic is respected, then I personally think that we should have the ambition to reach the quarter-finals. And if you get there, a lot is possible.”
Cost
The cost of such a World Cup still remains. “I paid about 5,000 euros for the first round. Afterwards it depends on where you end up. If they become group winners, we can stay in the region and it is a lot cheaper than if you have to fly 1,000 kilometers. But that is a bit of a waste of money.”
