Lückenkemper as the third fastest in the final

Vice European Champion Gina Lückenkemper runs again for the medals over 100 m at the home European Championships in Munich.

The German champion finished second in her semifinals with 11.11 seconds behind co-favorite Daryll Neita (Great Britain/10.95) in the final (10:25 p.m.).

Lückenkemper ran the third-fastest time in the semifinals, but her relay colleagues had no chance of reaching the final as one of the two best timers. Rebekka Haase (11.52) and Tatjana Pinto (11.55) failed with weak times.

The other favorites, such as the defending champion and best of the year Dina Asher-Smith (Great Britain/11.15) and the strong Swiss Mujinga Kambundji (11.05), did not show any weakness either. Lückenkemper is number four this year in Europe with a time of 10.99 seconds.
