THEucca, 30 Oct. (askanews) – At Lucca Comics & Games the Tuscan city is also the protagonist in a Lego installation that reconstructs its historic centre. It was imagined by Riccardo Zangelmi, the first and only Italian Lego Certified Professional.
“The idea – he told askanews – starts from trying to create three iconic monuments of Lucca, therefore Piazza San Michele, Piazza Anfiteatro and Torre Giunigi, and trying to enclose them within the walls of Lucca. We developed a 2.70 meter model with 300 minifigures, all coloured. We spent 400 hours to create it and 160 hours just for the design”.
The large diorama is displayed inside the Lego pavilion and is the result of ongoing collective work: visitors to the stand, in fact, can contribute by adding their own brick to the construction. “It was a very important challenge – added Zangelmi – because especially on Piazza Anfiteatro, which is built with 25 modules, we had to recreate the perfect shape and joints of the houses, that was very challenging but we achieved a good result”.
In addition to the diorama of Lucca, the Lego Adventure space offers experiences in the worlds of Marvel, Star Wars, Minecraft and One Piece.
