LP Viest’s academy team in a violent crash – crisis help is organized

Salo’s volleyball club LP Viesti announced on Sunday that its academy team was involved in a traffic accident on the night between Saturday and Sunday.

The accident happened when the team was returning from an away game in Joensuu.

– According to the police’s preliminary information, the passenger car drove towards the bus carrying the team for an unknown reason, LP Viesti informed.

– According to the assessment made at the scene of the accident, all team members were uninjured. Those involved in the accident will be subjected to further investigations as necessary and crisis assistance will be arranged for the team.

Due to the accident, LP Viest’s academy team’s match against PuMa Volley scheduled for next Sunday (November 27) has been postponed.

LP Viest’s academy team plays at the second highest women’s league level.

The club’s first team plays in the main league and has won the Finnish championship ten times in the 2000s.
