Louis Vuitton launches monogram fashion for newborns

Louis Vuitton launches a collection for the littlest of all fashionistas for the first time, launching clothing, accessories and a teddy bear for newborns.

The line will be available from March and will include rompers, two-pieces, bodysuits, pyjamas, a dress and a hooded coat, the French fashion brand announced on Monday. The clothing is available for children up to the age of 12 months. To complete the look for the smallest of society, there are also two styles of shoes, a pair of knitted slippers, socks, hats and even bibs – all of course in the monogram look well-known for the Maison.

In the future, Louis Vuitton will also be present in the children’s rooms, because in addition to a silk sleeping bag with an embroidered floral design, there are also monogram blankets, a small suitcase and a toiletry bag. A rattle and a jacquard-covered Louis teddy bear with eyes made of the brand’s monogram flower motif should make baby’s hearts beat faster.

The idea for a baby collection arose from various elements of Louis Vuitton’s history, zeitgeist and visual identity, the statement said. As early as the 1930s, Gaston-Louis Vuitton, the third generation to run the brand, introduced toys and sold them in the store on the Champs Elysées.
