In the name of “multi-energy transition“, also the Lotus change your skin. The British brand owned by the Chinese Geely, after changing its business plan on the fly last year, it is preparing for the launch of a new plug-in hybrid version of its Eletre SUV. technical specifications

Lotus Eleter Phev adopts a powertrain shared with the Zeekr 9Xanother luxury SUV from the Geely Group. The heart of the plug-in hybrid powertrain is a Nmc battery 70 kWh supplied by the joint venture Catl-Geelycapable of offering up to 355 km of electric range in the Chinese CLTC cycle. Thanks to a 900 volt architecture it is possible to carry out an ultra-fast charging, passing 20 to 80% battery capacity in 8 minutes and 21 seconds. The accumulator weighs 408 kg, with the car having an overall weight ranging from 2,575 to 2,625 kg in running order (3,055-3,080 kg fully loaded). The petrol engine is a 2.0 turbo Dhe20-Pfz 275 HP, usable both for direct traction and as a generator. In the latter mode, it can recharge the battery from 30 to 80% in 90 minutes, even on the highway. The For Me hybrid system provides three electric motors for a combined power of 1,381 HP. The performance is supercar-like, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds and a top speed of 230 km/h.

aggressive aesthetic

The Lotus Eletre plug-in offers the same aesthetic imprint as its electric “twin”. Therefore, we find the SUV-coupé proportions with active aerodynamic details, including a rear spoiler capable of generating 90 kg of downforce, with a Cd of 0.26. The dimensions are generous: 510 cm long, 201 cm wide and 163 cm high, with a 301 cm wheelbase. As for technology, we have the retractable Lidar system for semi-autonomous driving. The CEO of the English brand Feng Qifeng confirmed that the entire Lotus range will be Phev by 2028.
