Lotta-Sofia Saahko has compiled a choir from fifteen memory sicknesses. There is also a priest, which was diagnosed with mixed memory disease in the spring of 2021.

Lotta and Pappa videos and speaker Lotta -Sofia Saahko has assembled a choir with fifteen memory illnesses. Musician Kalle Lindroth will be the choir conductor, led by the choir to learn ten new songs. The aim is to perform at a concert in Tampere in six weeks. The choir’s journey is monitored on Yle TV1 Unforgettable – Memory Choir Travel in the series.
– The challenge is great because it is difficult for memory patients to learn new things. And for some of our choirs, every time you work out will be the first, Lotta says at the beginning of the first episode.
Of course, Pappa Jorma Saahko will also be featured in the program. In the spring of 2021, he was diagnosed with mixed memory disease, a combination of Alzheimer’s disease and vascular memory disease.
– Good day and welcome to Papa’s home. And now, Lotta now has this hut here. Four years have been with him and we are doing well, Pappa says on the porch of his house.
– Five years, fixed Lotta with a smile.
Pappa says that life would be very lonely without a lottery.
“It’s good support and safety here,” Pappa says.

Lotta recalls in the tears of how the priest has once searched for a grandma at home, who died thirteen years ago.
– It is perhaps my biggest fear in this memory disease that one day, the priest is no longer recognized.
Lotta wanted to assemble a memory -impaired choir because singing has helped so much priest.
– I want everyone to see how positive music can have on memory disorders.
