Lots of rain with – finally – a dry bright spot in the weekend

Although we will have some showers in the coming days, the weekend – especially Sunday – looks wonderfully dry.

It is dry in most places in the province this morning, there may be a shower here and there and we are gradually seeing clear spells. “The first half of the afternoon it remains dry and the sun is shining, so it looks friendly,” said NH weatherman Jan Visser.

Last night there was quite a wind from the south. The wind was also blowing hard on the coast. Today it is a lot less windy. The wind comes from the southwest and is moderate to weak.

Chance of thunder

Another disturbance will occur during the afternoon, which will also bring thunderstorms. Visser: “Then there will be some showers again with a chance of thunder.” The temperature rises to a maximum of 11 degrees with a moderate wind from the southwest.

On the coast the wind is moderate to strong with wind force five to six. It may rain on the coast tonight with a chance of thunder. It cools down to 6 to 7 degrees.

The showers will continue tomorrow and will enter the province via the coastal areas in the morning. It will continue to rain in the afternoon, with some clear spells. It will be slightly colder than today at 10 degrees. The wind blows moderately from the southwest, later it turns on the coast and comes from the northwest.

Cold but dry

The weekend is looking promising after the endless rain showers. There is still a chance of showers on Saturday, but the sun will also shine occasionally. In any case, the rain suits and umbrellas can go into the closet for a day on Sunday: Visser predicts a dry day.

The temperature remains around 10 degrees. In the night from Saturday to Sunday it can cool down considerably to 3 degrees.
