Loss of points Royal HFC against final GVVV, defeat Young FC Volendam

Royal HFC failed to take full advantage of the defeat of leader Katwijk in the second division. The team of trainer Gertjan Tamerus played 1-1 against GVVV. Young FC Volendam lost to IJsselmeervogels: 2-1.

GVVV also took two points from HFC earlier this season by playing 0-0. The first big attack of the game was for the Haarlem-squad. On a visit to IJsselmeervogels, Jong Volendam was already behind within ten minutes. Earlier, a goal by Jerrel Hak was rejected for offside, but he was able to cheer a few minutes later: 1-0. Younes Taha had the equalizer on his shoe after fifteen minutes. His effort ended up wide of the goal of the birds.

After the break, the hosts extended the lead through substitute Steven Sanchez Angulo. He passed Barry Lauwers after a long ball and shot the ball into the empty goal: 2-0. In stoppage time, substitute Givairo Read made the connecting goal. Volendam was unable to equalize after this.

Jong Volendam is eleventh with 27 points. Kiki Musampa’s team will play at home against AFC next weekend. The team from Amsterdam will play against Jong Sparta Rotterdam tomorrow.
